There were scenes of joy and celebration in Killanure NS following a fantastic victory in the Hurling Cup Final — a truly historic day for the school community.
The players from 2nd to 6th class produced an outstanding performance, showing great skill, determination, teamwork and pride in their school colours. Huge credit must go to the entire panel and to the dedicated teachers and mentors who put in so much hard work and preparation throughout the year.
The success was celebrated by all the boys and girls of the school, parents, grandparents and the whole wider community and parish who gave the team tremendous support and created a brilliant atmosphere in O'Moore park and back at the school afterwards. The celebrations continued long into the day as staff, students and families marked a memorable achievement for Killanure NS.
It was a proud occasion for everyone connected with the school and a day that will be remembered for many years to come. Congratulations to all involved on a remarkable achievement.
